November 9th The Exodus

Today we traveled the same path that the Israelite traveled during the Exodus. We went to the places named; Succoth, Marrah, and Elah. Marrah was my favorite for a couple of reasons...I really liked the scenery, it was absolutely beautiful. It was right by the water. Also there were little children running around and it was so cute! Then we also sang some songs and it was just so peaceful. After we were done talking, we went to the little market that was right by and there were a whole bunch of women selling necklaces...there was a whole line of women vendors that went on for what seemed like forever. I also realized that I really like the name Marrah and am thinking about naming my daughter that when I have children :)

Succoth was interesting cause we got to see the hand prints that were dipped in blood on the walls of the houses from the people who actually do sacrifices still. Elah was really pretty too and had an abundance of palm trees :)

After we finished traveling in the footsteps of the Israelite, we went to our hotel that was located near Mt. Sinai, because we are going to be waking up at midnight and climbing it at one in the morning in order to see the sun rise on the top of the mountain! We'll see how that goes. When we get to our hotel, Kalie and I realize that our room smells really bad...so we had to switch rooms...but then it was better!
These are the handprints of blood sacrifices in Succoth

This is at marrah!
